Photographing Penn University’s LALSA’s 28th Annual Conference presented an exciting challenge: capturing multiple speakers against a similar backdrop while making sure each photo still feels unique. By adjusting angles, lighting, depth of field, and composition, we could create photos that highlight the energy and individuality of each speaker. Pair that with some energizing networking photos and you have a pretty perfect event gallery.

Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in a sea of perfectly curated content where every Instagram feed looks like a magazine spread, every LinkedIn post feels like it went through three rounds of PR approvals, and you know as well as I do, we're all getting a little numb to it. This is exactly why candid event photography is one of my favorite things. True candid images should become your best friend when it comes to marketing your next corporate event.

At the end of January, Villanova University hosted their Annual Women in Tech Conference. In 2025, Villanova celebrated 10 years of hosting the conference, so I was excited that our team was able to cover the event once again this year.

With September being National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month, these images of Saint Joseph’s 7th Annual Recovery Conference take on an even greater significance.

From candid shots of peer connections to powerful moments during keynote speeches, our photography at this event aimed to showcase how the institution is shaping the future of student support and recovery on and off campus.

As a higher education marketing professional, you know that campus open houses are a prime opportunity to showcase your institution’s unique offerings to prospective students and their families. Conferences, tradeshows and company retreats are pivotal for knowledge sharing, networking, and branding your business or institution. When planning events like these, your budget is often stretched across numerous categories: venue, speakers, materials, refreshments, and countless other details. It can be easy to overlook or opt out of professional photo and video coverage of your event. But not investing in visual coverage for your conference could end up costing you valuable marketing opportunities in the future. The photographs taken during these annual events play a crucial role in extending their impact far beyond the event itself.

Local 375 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Allentown, PA began with only 17 charter members. Throughout the years, they have grown their membership to an impressive 1,000 members who are employed in electrical trade construction, public works departments, cable television and communications, power generation, and other related industries.

At the end of January, Villanova University hosted their 9th Annual Women in Tech Conference and asked me to document this impressive event. A chance to document women doing incredible work in the technology field (or any field for that matter)? YES PLEASE.

I’m so fortunate that my work allows me to meet many talented individuals in industries across the board. In November, we were invited to be a part of the two-week event “When Heaven Meets Earth: Experiencing Taiwan’s Sacred Statues” at Saint Joseph’s University.
